Cause Partners
ALS Association, Greater San Diego Chapter
The ALS Association (ALSA) is the only national not-for-profit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (often called Lou Gehrig’s disease). The mission of The ALS Association is to find a cure for and improve living with ALS.
Huntington’s Disease Society Of America
Huntington’s disease is a genetically caused brain disorder that systematically robs people of their ability to walk, talk, eat, and think. Eventually, people with Huntington’s become totally dependent upon others. There is no effective treatment or cure. We offer hope. Our award-winning chapter supports affected individuals and their families, raises public awareness, and funds research towards a cure. On this website you can learn about our challenges and goals, including the stories of people’s brave struggles against the disease and dedicated researchers’ quest for scientific advances.
We invite you to join the many caring companies, individual donors, and volunteers who have made a difference in people’s lives. With your help we can end Huntington’s forever.
Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego
We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
National Foundation for Autism Research
Every twenty minutes, a child is diagnosed with autism in America. The National Foundation for Autism Research (NFAR) understands the impact of autism on children, families and their communities, dedicating its efforts to the development of innovative treatments, social and educational programs and much-needed services that improve the quality of life for children with autism right here in San Diego. From early diagnosis and materials for hundreds of local classrooms to adult transition options, NFAR is helping make a difference for thousands of San Diego children.
San Diego Police Officers Association Widows & Orphans Fund
The Widows & Orphans Fund provides monetary support to a fallen member’s beneficiaries and also provides assistance to members themselves in the case that they are faced with the loss of a spouse or child. In just these past two years, six San Diego Police Officers, their spouses, or children have been victims of a tragic death; including the recent line-of-duty deaths of Officer Jeremy Henwood and Officer Chris Wilson who were serving to keep our communities safe. Their dependents need our help.
Team Red, White & Blue
Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) assists in combat veteran re-integration through physical fitness and personal connectivity. They build strong, enduring communities of citizens and veterans that participate in fitness and social activities. Within those communities, they also provide 1-on-1 advocate programs for wounded veterans.
Toys For Joy
Toys for Joy seeks to impact the lives of area children through providing a toy and food for their family during the Christmas Holiday Season. Over the past 15 years, Toys for Joy has served over 35,000 children and their families. The event is organized by the Rock Church in partnership with schools, businesses, community organizations and other local churches.
