- The 5K Start Line is on University Ave, however, all 5K participants will be shuttled from the Tailgate Parking Lot (adjacent to Petco Park) to the 5K Start Line.

2013 Driving Directions
If arriving by passenger vehicle, choose your parking option first, then select the route that is best for you. The Trolley is also a great option and is listed after the Paid Parking options below.
Petco Park is accessible from the I-5 Freeway.
Traveling I-5 southbound from North County or central San Diego
Exit at the Front Street Exit, 10th Avenue Exit or Imperial Exit to access the below listed parking lots.
For those traveling northbound on I-5, exit at J Street.
Coming from the east
Exit onto the 94 Fwy and turn south onto 16th St to Imperial Ave.
2013 Parking Options
ALL METERED STREET PARKING IS FREE on Sundays in downtown San Diego.
Paid Parking Options (see map below):
- Tailgate Lot (use for ‘Shuttle to 5K Start’) — $10; Enter & exit this surface lot from K St & 13th Street. Access from southbound 10th Ave, make a left on Park Blvd & keep right onto K Street. Or, enter Imperial Ave between 12th Ave & 14th St.
- 6th & K Parkade — $1/hr. (max $8); Located at 289 6th Ave. Enter & exit via 6th Avenue. Access by driving southbound on 6th Ave from Market St.
- MTS Garage — $10; Located on 1100 Imperial Ave (Imperial at 11th Ave). Access by driving westbound on Imperial Ave.
- 8th & Harbor Garage — $10; Enter this garage via Harbor Dr. There is pedestrian access to Petco Park via a pedestrian bridge. Access by driving westbound on Harbor Dr. from Cesar Chavez or southbound on Harbor Dr. from Front St.
- Convention Center Garage — $10; Located at 111 West Harbor Drive. Enter & exit this garage via Harbor Dr. There is access to Petco Park via a pedestrian bridge at 5th Ave. Access by driving westbound on Harbor Dr. from Cesar Chavez Pkwy or southbound on Harbor Dr. from Front St.
- Padres Parkade— $10; Entrance to this garage is on 10th Ave between Island & J Street. Exit from this garage is on 11th Ave between Island Ave & J Street. Access by driving southbound from the I-5 10th Ave exit.
- Park It On Market – $1/hr. (max $15); Garage is located just north of the Block Party. Enter on 6th or 7th Avenue, north of Market St.
Please Note: Use caution when using online map services for driving directions, as they do not account for race road closures. For family & friends arriving on Sunday after 6:30 AM, please use 10th St or Imperial Ave to access the parking lots. Reserved parking for the disabled will be along 6th Ave, adjacent to the Gaslamp Block Party.
Ride The Trolley
The MTS Trolley network is an attractive option for those traveling from the north, east or south. On race day, plan to arrive at the 12th & Imperial Trolley Station. 
- The MTS Transit Center is located within 300 yards of Petco Park.
- A trolley 2-way pass or Day Pass is approximately $5.00.
Trolleys arrive at Petco Park in plenty of time prior to the race, as follows:
- Blue Line northbound (San Ysidro to Petco Park) arrives at the 12th & Imperial Trolley Station at 5:31 AM, 6:01 AM & 6:31 AM.
- Green Line (Santee/Qualcomm Stadium to Petco Park) arrives at 12th & Imperial Trolley Station at 5:26 AM, 5:56 AM, & 6:26 AM.
- Orange Line southbound (El Cajon to Petco Park) arrives at the 12th & Imperial Trolley Station at 5:57 AM & 6:27 AM.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Drop-off & pick-up zones are located on the northeast side of Petco Park. Use 10th Ave between Park Blvd & K St. The drop-off for private charter buses is located on the west side of 14th St between K St & Imperial Ave (enter from K St.).
